Bunny Shower
Bunnies are a perennial favorite
motif for baby clothes, nursery décor and children’s
books. Maybe it’s the reputation of rabbits as
being prolific parents. Or maybe it’s because
little baby bunnies are so cute, you just want to
pick them up and hold them, just like you want to do
with a little human baby. A bunny themed baby
shower would be adorable any time of year, but it is
perfect for a springtime baby or if the baby will be
born or the shower will be held around Easter time.
This theme would also work well if the shower will
be held in an outdoor garden setting.
If the party
is ladies only, encourage the guests to wear their
Sunday best dresses. You could even ask that they
don an Easter bonnet.
A pastel
color palette would be ideal for a bunny themed baby
shower. Of course you could use the traditional
pink for a girl or blue for a boy, light green or
yellow if the gender is unknown, or decorate with a
variety of Easter egg hues.
If you are
planning the shower around Easter time, you should
be able to find an abundance of bunny rabbit and
pastel colored decorations and serving ware. Even
if the shower is held at a time when Easter is not
coming up on the calendar, there are plenty of bunny
themed baby shower invitations and decorations. For
favors, you could give out little stuffed bunnies,
or small baskets filled with pastel colored
jellybeans, Jordan almonds or candy-coated
chocolates.
If the
shower is to be held around Easter time, then you
will most certainly want to have some variation of
the guess the jellybeans in the jar game. Another
fun game to play at this shower would be “Find the
Golden Egg”. Fill opaque plastic Easter eggs,
exactly one for each guest, with individually
wrapped candies or small denomination coins. Inside
one egg, place a gold wrapped chocolate coin or a
“gold” dollar coin. Place the eggs in a basket, and
let each guest select one. The guest with the
golden coin wins the prize. If it is a large party,
you could have more than one prizewinner by offering
a few eggs with the golden gifts inside. There are
also lots of fun printable
baby shower games and
Easter themed games.
So hop to
it. Start planning a bunny baby shower right away.
