Baby Shower Activities
A fun baby shower activity gets your guests to participate in the celebration
There are countless baby shower activities that could be done at a baby shower. Most people who have been to previous showers have probably found that baby shower games are the most popular choice. The reason games are so popular is because they are fun and there are so many good choices in picking one that is appropriate for the party.
As much fun as games are, there are certainly other activities that could be done. For instance, you could test all of the guests artistic abilities and have them each draw a picture of what they think the baby will look like. Or each guest could be given a bead to put on a necklace. As the necklace is passed through the room, each guest makes a good luck wish for the baby and then places their bead on the string. At the end, the necklace is given to the mother-to-be.
Another activity which may be appropriate if the baby has already been born or a name is already picked out is to have each guest write a poem which includes the baby's name. The parent(s)-to-be select the top three that they like and the winners are given a door prize. For possibly even more sentimental value, have each guest bring in a book that they liked as a child or like reading to their own children. Have each guest write an inspiring message about the book, then have each date and sign the book for the baby. In a few years, the parents can share some special moments with their child when they read the messages.
