There are a few extra baby shower supplies you should have handy on the day of the party.  You’ll need supplies to help you decorate, like scissors and tape.  Make sure to have plenty of trash bags and trashcans on hand.  You’ll want to keep the trashcans from overflowing as people throw away their disposable plates and cups.  You’ll also want to place a clean trashcan or trash bag near the mom-to-be so she can dispose of gift wrap from the presents after she opens them. 

If you want all of the baby shower supplies to match a single theme, you may wish to buy everything at the same time.  If you are a little more flexible with coordinating the shower supplies, you may be able to purchase items over time, which will give you more time to determine your needs.  Just be sure that you have all of the baby shower supplies you’ll need on hand by party day, and you’ll be well on your way to hosting the perfect party.
