A twins baby shower is twice the fun

Twin baby showers can be lots of fun for the new mom and guests alike.  The new mom is likely to get two of many things, so she’ll have lots of gifts to open.  Twin births are a lot less common, so they are deserving of an uncommonly good shower.  Here are some ideas to make a twin baby shower doubly fun. 

A Noah’s Ark baby theme is a popular choice for any baby shower, but it’s especially appropriate for twin baby showers.  In the biblical story, Noah took two of each animal with him on the ark.  It is easy to find baby shower invitations, decorations and tableware to coordinate with this theme.  You could incorporate animals into other parts of the shower.  Use big stuffed animals, or perhaps two of each, as table centerpieces.  The stuffed animals could then be given to the new mom for the babies.  Little boxes or bags filled with animal crackers would make a cute favor.  See our

Another popular theme for twin baby showers is Two Peas in a Pod.  There are plenty of decorations and other supplies available in this theme, but the most important thing is to incorporate lots of green.  Because green is considered gender neutral, this would be a nice theme for fraternal boy-girl twins.  You could also incorporate more pink, like pink flowers, if twin girls are expected.  You may wish to serve a menu that incorporates lots of green foods.  A small bag of green jelly beans or candy covered chocolates would make a cute favor. 

Twin baby showers can be twice as nice by using any of the ideas listed above.  The new mom will have an extra, extra good time as she celebrates the impending arrival of her perfect pair.
